December 11 Lessons & Carols— 4 pm in the Church

The Festival of Lessons and Carols is a service of Scripture and song that dates to the
late 19th century. In this service, we listen to Scripture lessons which recount the Fall,
the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Great Commission to preach the
Good News. Each lesson is followed by a carol or other song that reflects on the
lesson’s message and a brief prayer.

This service is a great way to help us slow down, as we prepare for the Coming of the
Christchild. We hear the stories and join in the carols to help place our mind, heart and
soul in the right place before Christmas.

This year we will have our Festival on Sunday, December 11th at 4pm in the church. It is
a wonderful opportunity for the entire family to hear the story of the preparation for the
Christchild, all in one sitting.

Please consider joining us Sunday afternoon!
