It is with a heavy heart that I leave St. Valentine, a community I have come to call home. I want to thank all of you for accepting me and for helping me to help our parishes grow. As I have found to be true everywhere I have been, I honestly believe I have received more than I have ever given. God has been very good to me! May God continue to bless you and your families!
God has been extraordinary gracious towards me by placing me in the hands of good, caring, loving brother priest Fr. Socorro. He certainly made my life comfortable and helped me to get acclimated to the new life ever since I landed here. In this process of making my life comfortable, the St. Val’s staff also played an enormous role. So my thanks to Deacon Lawrence Toth, Rachel Damuth, Bonnie Danic, Sue Daly, Kris Brake, Bill and Ricky Charlton.
I hope and pray that you will welcome Fr. Kishore Babu Battu as your Associate Pastor with open arms and together continue to grow this community that I have come to know and love. I am sure you will get to enjoy Fr. Kishore whom I know very well (as he comes at St. Val’s on his day-off), who like other Pallottine priests have left families and homeland to travel to USA in service to the Gospel.
As I say farewell, I want to assure you that you are all in my prayers and I ask that you keep me in yours. I have been entrusted with a new mission at the clustered parishes of St. Charles Borromeo, Newport and St. Anne, Monroe, that will have its own unique challenges and I will continue to need the grace of God. May the grace and peace of God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always!
