Reflection for Third Sunday of Lent

In this Gospel, we hear the story of a woman who comes to a well to get water, a necessary drink for life, and leaves knowing she has received the Living Water of Christ. She leaves the well and rushes back to town to tell others about her encounter with Jesus.

Perhaps this coming week each of us could spend some time thinking about the things in our lives right now that we thirst for that may be drawing ourselves away from a relationship with Christ. At the same time, ask Christ to strengthen the areas where we thirst for a closer relationship with him.

May we continue our journey to “Come, Walk with Me.”

Reflection for Second Sunday of Lent

Let this Gospel challenge us to look beyond the surface, to seek a deeper understanding of our experiences and the world around us. Let it remind us that there is more to life than what we see, hear, and experience daily and to recognize the presence of Jesus in our midst.

May we be open to the changes the transfiguration calls us to make in our lives, and may we be inspired by the hope it offers for our world transfigured by Divine Love – a world that sees Christ in one another.

May we continue to response to “Come, Walk with Me.”
