Are you ready to embark on a life-changing journey? Welcome to The Rescue Project, 8-weekly sessions designed to explore the profound impact of the gospel on our lives.
St. Valentine Parish is hosting the Rescue Project on Tuesdays, beginning April 9 through May 21. Each weekly session will begin at 6 pm with dinner, immediately followed by a Fr. John Riccardo video, and will end with small group discussions on the video. Come challenge your perceptions of the gospel, share your views in conversations, and work towards a more purposeful life.
Uncover the Story of the Gospel
Participants will delve into four key words relating to the Rescue project and a fundamental question, underlying each of these words.
Created – Why is there something, rather than nothing?
Learn how God’s overwhelming love for the human beings he created, in his own image and likeness, defines the purposes behind our own lives.
Captured – Why is everything so messed up?
Gain understanding about how the Devil’s envy of human beings is the root cause of the brokenness and chaos that surrounds us; and the impact his power has on our ability to escape his capture.
Rescued – What, if anything, has God done about it?
Gain insight on why God sent Jesus to become man and fight against the devil, to rescue us from being captured to return to him. Learn why Jesus chose to be crucified.
Response – If He’s done anything, how should I respond?
After hearing all that God has done for us, explore and develop actions and responses to hearing the Gospel and reflect on your personal response to it. Let it shape your actions, relationships, and purpose in life.
We invite you to take this opportunity to transform your life.
